Maulānā Hammad Chowdhury

Maulānā Hammad Chowdhury's upbringing in New York City was marked by a profound familial legacy rooted in a deep reverence for Islamic scholarship. Inspired by his grandfather's cherished aspiration for his progeny to become Huffaz and scholars of Islam, Hammad's father entrusted him with this noble pursuit. Thus, at the tender age of 11, Maulānā Hammad commenced his journey in memorizing the Quran at Darul Uloom New York.

Upon completing the memorization of the Holy Qur’an, Maulānā Hammad delved into the comprehensive seven-year Alim course. It was during his second year of studies that his fervent passion for the science of Aqidah (Islamic Beliefs) and Ilm al-Kalam (Dialectic Theology) ignited. Guided by the wisdom of his teachers, he resolved to specialize in this profound field of study.

At the age of 22, Maulānā Hammad completed the Alim course program, earning his ijazah in the six renowned books of Hadith. Additionally, he was bestowed with ijazah in the sab’ah and thalathah qira’aat program, attesting to his comprehensive mastery of Quranic recitations.

With aspirations set on further specialization in Ilm al-Kalam, Maulānā Hammad seeks to pursue advanced studies in Turkey by the grace of Allah. His future endeavors are dedicated to utilizing his expertise to educate students of knowledge, dispel doubts among Muslim youth, and propagate the message of Islam to those who have yet to embrace its teachings.
