Maulānā Yasar Khan

Maulānā Yasar Hayat Khan, a native of Pakistan with roots in Paterson, NJ, has been marked by a trail of achievements since his early years. Notably, he held esteemed positions such as President of his high school Class of 2013, President of Future Business Leaders of America, and President of the National Honor Society, among a plethora of other accolades.

Despite the allure of a promising path in secular education, including securing a dual Master’s degree by the tender age of twenty-one and receiving numerous scholarships from esteemed institutions, he made the courageous decision to dedicate himself to Islamic Studies and delve into subjects ranging from Arabic and Literature to Hadith, Tafsir, Islamic Theology, and Jurisprudence. Continuing his quest for knowledge, he completed his studies at Darus-Salam Seminary in Chicago, immersing himself in the teachings of the six major books of Hadith under the tutelage of renowned scholars.

In 2019, he joined Jamia Falah-id-Darain/ICC as a teacher and Dean of Student Affairs. Despite his brief tenure, his fervor and extensive background in public relations earned him the role of Youth Director. He actively engages with the community and has contributed as a member of the Islamic Council of Dayton.

After two years of service at ICC and teaching at Jamia Falah-id-Darain, Maulānā journeyed to Turkey to specialize in Seerah-an-Nabawiyyah and Islamic History. Upon his return to America, he resumed his noble mission of educating students and serving the community with renewed vigor. He embarked on further academic pursuits, enrolling in the Chicago Theology Seminary to advance his knowledge in Islamic Sciences under esteemed professors and luminaries. Concurrently, he is pursuing a Master’s in Education and is engaged in various literary endeavors aimed at benefiting future generations.
