Muftī Abrar Habib

Muftī Abrar Habib's journey in Islamic scholarship commenced in the heart of New York City, where he embarked on his educational odyssey. After undertaking the Alim course at Darul Uloom New York, he sought further enlightenment at DarusSalam Seminary in Lombard, IL, culminating in his graduation from the rigorous seven-year Alim course in 2019, along with the prestigious ijaza in the six books of hadith.

Driven by an unyielding thirst for knowledge, Muftī Abrar pursued advanced studies in Iftaa at Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah in South Africa, under the tutelage of esteemed scholars like Muftī Ebrahim Desai and Muftī Husain Kadodia. Following a rigorous two-year program, he earned his ijaza in Iftaa and was conferred the title of Muftī in 2021.

Continuing his quest for academic excellence, Muftī Abrar embarked on a scholarly voyage to Madinah University, immersing himself in the study of hadith under the guidance of distinguished faculty members. Subsequently, he ventured to Egypt to specialize in tafseer, Arabic literature, syntax, and rhetoric, honing his expertise under the mentorship of scholars from al-Azhar and Cairo University.

Muftī Abrar's credentials extend to holding ijazah in the 'Asharah Qir'ät, the ten canonical readings of the Quran.

His commitment to Islamic scholarship transcends formal education. Alongside completing the Alim course, he diligently collected and obtained ijazahs in key Islamic texts, a testament to his deep reverence for traditional learning and his role as a custodian of Islamic knowledge.

After more than a decade of dedicated study abroad, Muftī Abrar returned to America, where he was welcomed into the esteemed ranks of the American Fiqh Academy, a testament to his scholarly prowess and commitment to advancing Islamic jurisprudence. Undeterred in his pursuit of knowledge, he eagerly anticipates future endeavors, including a prospective specialization in 'Aqīdah in Turkey, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to the pursuit of Islamic scholarship.
